Exhibition of Vasily Yegorov Open in Moscow

All the world and Soviet political elite has been represented in informal pictures at The Lumiere Brothers Photogallery. An exhibition of Vasily Yegorov (1914 – 2007), one of the most well-known TASS press photographers, who covered nearly all the major events of the 20th century, has been opened there. The brilliant reporter spent on photography more than 60 years of his 90 years of life. He was one of the first soviet photographers, whose skills were appreciated by western editors and … the British Queen. Humour, observation, emotionality are the distinctive features of Yegorov’s best pictures, as well as perfect composition, rhythm and precision of details. His works are evidences not only of his visual gift, but of his marked individuality also. The exhibition runs till January 2010.
