Viktor Pelevin - Most Influential Intellectual of Russia
By results of an internet poll the writer Viktor Pelevin has been recognized the most influential intellectual of Russia. Other places in the top ten were given to the journalist Daniil Shepovalov, the journalist Leonid Parfyonov, the former head of UCOS Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the publicist Konstantin Krylov, Cyril I of Moscow, the scientist Sergei Kapitsa, the TV-host Aleksander Gordon, the writer Boris Srtrugatsky, and the writer and politician Eduard Limonov. Altogether more than 40 thousand RuNet users took part in the poll. The users could select five candidates out of a hundred and also add someone, who was not on the list. Thus, 250 more names suggested by participants were added to the voting list.
