Russian Vodka is 145 years old

This day in the Russian history is supposed to be the 145th birthday of vodka, one of the symbols of Russia. It was on the January, 31, 1865, when the world famous Russian chemist Dmitriy Mendeleev defended his doctor thesis Essay on integration of spirit with water. So this day is considered as a birthday of the Russian national drink, vodka, although everything was not so simple.
