Moscow Sets World Record in Hanukkah Celebrations

About thousand four hundred candles on seven-branched menorahs were lit in Moscow yesterday night. The action to mark the beginning of Hanukkah celebrations was held by Jewish youth. One of the aims of the action was to beat the world record and be officially listed in the Guinness Record Book. The celebration on occasion of the start of the great Jewish holiday was held in the Moscow club Zona. 365 representatives of Jewish youth took part in it. The action was held with support of Hillel – the world’s biggest international Jewish student organization.
