Top Moscow events playbill. Dec.21 – Jan.10

Russia is famous all over the world for its ballet and circus traditions as well as for its folk songs and dances, and everyone who comes to Russia wants a chance to see the live performance of Russian theatre. But many people who come to Russia for a short-term visit only know about the Bolshoi theatre, where tickets are usually hard to get and attendance fees for top performances (such as “Swan Lake” or “the Nutrcacker”) can be quite high.
But there is much more a foreign tourist can see in Russia during his or her visit, and this new series of articles will be devoted to introducing you to the top events that take place in Moscow during the near future. This first article is mostly dedicated to various Christmas and New Year performances that will take place between December 21, 2009 and January 10, 2010
