Unique Bronze Treasure Unearthed

Archeologists unearthed ancient decoration items, made of bronze, in the Kaliningrad Region. The treasure consists of 12 bronze items, which date back to 6-4 centuries BC – 5 ribbon bracelets, 3 woven necklaces, a cuff-like bracelet, a single wire bracelet and a pin with a spiral knob. The treasure of local and Scandinavian origin was unearthed in the Baltic forest of Svetlyi urban district of the Kaliningrad Region. Scientists say that such findings in this area are quite rare. These unique items will help forming a new point of view upon historical processes, which took place in Prussia long time ago. The style of some items shows that local population had close relations with South Scandinavia in 6-4 centuries BC. Ancient ornaments were restored by Kaliningrad archeologists and forwarded to local museum of history and fine arts.
